Former coach pleads guilty to sexual assault

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Former Mount St. Mary Academy coach Kelly O’Rourke pleaded guilty in front of Pulaski County Circuit judge Barry Sims Thursday morning to a charge of sexual assault.

This past June it came to light that she had had an inappropriate relationship with a former student.

O’Rourke was sentenced to 15 years in prison with all but 120 days suspended. She was taken into custody and went to the Pulaski County Detention Center to begin serving the 120 days.

She must also testify in the trial of Kathy Griffin, a co-worker at Mount St. Mary Academy who knew of but did not report the abuse.

She must register her DNA and register as a sex offender. She has been ordered to have no contact with the victim.
