Free Health Screenings at NLR's McCain Mall

Includes a free heart attack risk assessment session.
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Some free health screenings are offered this afternoon at a local mall.

McCain Mall and Arkansas Heart Hospital are bringing health and nutrition awareness to residents of Central Arkansas this summer with “Arkansas Heart Hospital Cause Days,” plus a free heart attack risk assessment session.

June’s Cause Day, to be held today from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., will celebrate National CPR Month. Representatives from the American Heart Association and Arkansas Heart Hospital will be on hand to teach hands-only CPR, plus offer information about CRP and heart health.

On Thursday, June 27 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, shoppers are invited to stop by for free heart attack risk assessment, including blood pressure and cholesterol tests.

“These events are a wonderful opportunity to enlighten our community on topics important to our health and wellbeing,” said Lisa Meyer, general manager of McCain Mall. “We are grateful to our partner, Arkansas Heart Hospital, for helping to make these events possible.”

Both events are free and open to the public.
