Family and friends of 23-month-old Hannah Grace Dowdie and her biological father Michael Palmer gathered Monday for their funeral. On December 12, authorities found their bodies inside a burning truck near Sweet Home.

Hannah Grace's biological mother Kayla Dowdie is grieving the loss of her daughter. "I miss her, my baby, she was my first born.  I love her, I just want one last time to hold her, that's all I need," said Dowdie.

Hannah Grace was the first Arkansas baby of 2008.  Her second birthday would have been January first.

Family friend and funeral home owner Reynae Dial says Michael's family appreciates the prayers.  "The family just wants to express how they were excited to have Hannah back in their lives. It's a tragedy. They are grateful for the outpouring support the community has shown."

Hannah Grace was in custody of foster parents for most of her life.  A week and a half ago, authorities positively identified that the two people found dead in a burning truck were that of Hannah and her father Michael.  Kayla Dowdie says 28-year-old Michael Palmer was a loving father to her daughter.
