Garbage Truck Flips on Little Rock Street, Three Hurt

The trapped driver had to be cut out of vehicle Monday afternoon at Grace Road and Mabelvale Pike.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A garbage truck driver and two other workers riding on the vehicle have been injured after it flips on a city street.

It happened this afternoon around 2:30 at Mabelvale Pike and Grace Road on the city's southwest side, just west of University Avenue.

Rescue crews on the scene had to cut the vehicle open to get the trapped driver out.

It's not yet known how seriously the workers were hurt.

Officials say the accident may have been caused by a mechanical failure that caused the brakes to lock up.

Skid marks could be seen on the road near where the truck overturned.
