The
FOX hit Glee continues to roll on, with the group getting that much closer to sectionals! We have groups a lot like that in Central Arkansas. A very talented group of high school students, from Dover, Arkansas loves to perform. This year they are performing the musical Bye Bye Birdie, they also love the show Glee. Sometimes, the characters have their differences but behind the scenes we are told they get along great!
How does the Dover High School concert choir intermingle behind the scenes? "Sometimes if it gets a little loud it gets kinda tense but really we get along pretty well for the most part."
"We get along pretty well together, and we're all pretty good friends so that makes it better."
Each member of the Dover concert choir has their favorite Glee character.
"Kurt, because he actually hit himself with a slushie, and that takes a true friend, and he's hilarious."
"Sue, because she's mean, and I'm mean, and we'd probably get along."
On Glee it seems like the students learn the songs in minutes but in the real world certain steps don’t come so easy. "Definitely has to be getting the movements right whenever I'm singing on stage because if I move the wrong way when I'm singing then I end up in the wrong spot and Ms. Taylor ends up yelling at me."
And just like on Glee, these students have bumps in the road. "I think they have the same problems that you see on that show, probably, maybe not quite as intense sometimes. But they're high school kids."
Boy let's hope their problems aren't nearly as intense as on the show glee. Needless to say they are a very large, but very talented group of students.
