On Glee, being in a show choir isn't hip. But at Malvern High School, the Showstoppers are a hit!
"When we perform everyone comes up to us afterwards and they're like, 'Y'all are so good. we love watching y'all.' We get good feedback."
Like most high school show choirs, the MHS Showstoppers need to raise money too. They’ve already done candy and now, "We're going to be doing a dinner theater and other stuff to raise for our trips that we're going to perform in."
Without that money, there would be no fabulous outfits, for their fabulous numbers.
So just how similar are the Malvern Showstoppers and the kids on Glee?
There is a Brittany. "Okay, on the count of three, everyone raise their right hand, one two three, no, the other one.” “Oh, Sorry,” says Emily.
They’ve even got their own Noah. His name is Corey and he has the signature Mohawk!
But does the school have a Sue Sylvester?
"I don't think any of them are that mean. We don't have very many mean teachers. Some of them may think they're mean but I don't think they really are."
That’s a good thing, because positive teachers, can go a long way.
