LITTLE ROCK, AR - Greenwood football coach Rick Jones has been named the Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High Schools Associations (NFHS) on Monday.
Twenty-two coaches are named for this national award, ten for women’s sports and ten for ten for men’s sports, one for a spirit award, and the last for “other sports.”

Jones led his Bulldogs to a 14-0 record this year, winning the 6A state title, their sixth state title in nine years. Greenwood is also in the midst of a 38 game winning streak, dating back to 2010. In the 9 seasons under Jones, Greenwood has gone 107-16, the best mark in the state over that period of time.
