WOODSON, AR – A pair of armed bandits remain at large after robbing a grocery store and a store customer. Investigators report the robbery happened just before 6:00pm Saturday.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office incident report indicates two armed men entered the Woodson Grocery at 8300 Woodson Lateral Road, in Woodson, and ordered the two clerks to lie on the floor. One of the suspects then ordered clerk Kurshid Alam to empty the cash drawer into a plastic bag, which he did.

A customer entered the store during the robbery, noticing there was no one at the cash register, that’s when the two suspects emerged from a back room of the store. They pointed a gun at Leonard King Junior and demanded all his money, which he gave them.

Surveillance video reveals one of the suspects was a man wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with a white bandana and blue jeans. The other male suspect wore a grey hooded sweatshirt with white accents in the middle, and was wearing blue plastic gloves.

A pair of eyewitnesses who were waiting outside for the customer who was robbed, say they saw the men leave the business and run towards highway 365. The eyewitnesses say the men ran behind a nearby church jumped in a black four-door car and headed south on Highway 365.

There are no reports of any injuries but the suspects made off with more than 3000 dollars in cash and cigarettes.
