At least ArkYank worked for a living, and his post is right on the money. If Cayt spent the same time looking for a job as she does protesting, her problems would be solved, but WAIT - does not sound like work is in her plans

This story makes me wonder if Cayt knew the person she "mistakenly" handed the payroll check back to. Last place I worked at, a grocery store; they have a camera on every register. They can sit in an office, and watch the cashier, and they have a 2nd computer screen that will show the exact same screen as the cashiers as she scans the merchandise. You'd be surprised at how many have been fired for "helping" friends and family by pretending to scan an item and then bagging it. Cayt needs to be out job hunting instead of "protesting"; along with the rest of them "protestors".

Be glad you have a job, El Beebe has 3 Illegal Mexicans just waiting for you to quit and provides them with Medicaid and interpreters.

Walmart normally has more than one instance of unsatisfactory performance by an employee before terminating an employee. There are exclusions to that rule, i. e., threatening or behaving in a violent manner toward a customer or employee, stealing from the register, shoplifting, etc, and any of these are grounds for immediate termination. Even though Cayt Lawley states she was terminated for speaking out against low wages at Walmart, my guess is that the Searcy store has documented her job performance and can prove otherwise. If she does have a case, there are many attorneys who would love to have her join a class action suit. If someone wants to speak out about Walmart wages, they should give better examples rather than simply stating Walmart pays low wages and poor health benefits. Just a few years ago, Walmart put a cap on all hourly positions that would prevent a person from receiving a raise once the cap was reached. The only way a worker can increase their earnings is by applying for another position that pays more. As far as the health insurance is concerned, Walmart pays a portion of the insurance. However the plans are often not affordable for some employees, and they must settle for the higher deductibles. As of 2013, Walmart is penalizing insured employees who fill their prescriptions outside of Walmart. For example, a prescription from Walmart costs $4.00, but if filled at a competitor's pharmacy, it will cost $12.00. Walmart is a self-insured company that BlueCross/BlueShield administrates.

Do you people think that little protest will prove anything? Go find another job.

Dear Wal Mart employees: You knew when you accepted that job what the pay and benefits were. By taking the job, that meant you agreed with it. If you don't care for either--leave. No one is making you work there.
