Again - there should be a mandatory spay/nueter law. But lawmakers/opponents would rather have innocent animals euthanized.

I will never understand why people think that getting a pet for their kids for Christmas is ok and not thinking that action comes with responsibility. Then after a few months of having to be responsible for the animal they no longer want to take care of it and dump it somewhere. This is very cruel and so very sad. Parents don’t get your child a pet if you’re not going to teach them responsibility. Having a pet is just like having a child in a since; they need water and food every day. They need daily walks and to be taking out to do their business. Pets need love and attention daily. They need to be cared for and taking to the vet if need be. People should take this as a serious responsibility and all pets should be neutered or spaded to prevent more unwanted animals. More people just need to think before they act.
