LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until Wednesday night for nearly all of Arkansas.

Forecasters say heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees or higher are possible Tuesday. High temperatures are expected to be in the upper 90s and low 100s with high humidity levels.

The weather service says the heat index is expected to exceed 105 degrees by late morning Tuesday and Wednesday and persist through the early evening hours.

Hot, humid weather is predicted through Thursday when thunderstorms are possible.
