High Water closures of Corps recreation areas at Ouachita, DeGray and Greeson Lakes

High water conditions on the Ouachita, Caddo and Little Missouri rivers will impact recreational opportunities at Lake Ouachita, DeGray Lake and Lake Greeson during Memorial Day weekend.
VICKSBURG, Miss. – High water conditions on the Ouachita, Caddo and Little Missouri rivers will impact recreational opportunities at Lake Ouachita, DeGray Lake and Lake Greeson during Memorial Day weekend.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regrets any inconvenience this may cause those who planned on using Corps recreational facilities during the long weekend. The Corps is continuing operations to minimize flooding conditions in local and downstream communities.
Below is a current listing of the status of campgrounds, boat ramps, beaches, and other recreational areas at the affected lakes. Please heed all local and state agency closures during this high water period, and adhere to safety regulations to ensure a safe and fun filled holiday.

LAKE OUACHITA:
•Brady Mountain Recreation Area: 8 of 74 campsites – CLOSED
•Campground Beach and parking lot - CLOSED
•Both boat ramps - CLOSED (Corps of Engineers and Arkansas Game & Fish Commission)
•Day Use Swimming Beach - CLOSED
•Brady Mountain Pavilion – OPEN
•Crystal Springs Recreation Area: Overflow camping area – OPEN; Day Use Area – CLOSED; 52 of 74 campsites - CLOSED
•Joplin Recreation Area: Boat ramp in front of the Lodge – CLOSED; 50 of 64 campsites - CLOSED
•Tompkins Bend Recreation Area: Campsites 1-16 and 31-58 – OPEN; Campsites 17-30 and 59-77 – CLOSED; (31 of 77 campsites - CLOSED)
•Denby Point Recreation Area: Campground and Boat Ramp – OPEN; Campground Beach - CLOSED
•Twin Creek Recreation Area: CLOSED
