Traffic was flowing smoothly again on I-40 in Lonoke County Tuesday night after a pileup involving several 18 wheelers. It happened in the eastbound lane between Carlisle and Lonoke closing the lane down from around 5:15 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. or so.

Arkansas state police say 1 big rig started to swerve causing a chain reaction of collisions involving 5 tractor trailer rigs and 1 pickup truck. Paramedics took the pickup driver to the hospital with minor injuries.

All of the trucks were cleared except one tractor trailer that flipped over on its side. Police said crews would move the truck Wednesday.

Authorities say the ground was warm so they don't think weather was a major factor but they're still investigating. As of Tuesday night, state police hadn't cited anyone in the accident.

probably more idiot a*** cars trying to actually DRIVE> Why does it always have to be the trucks fault in the eyes of hte public when a truck is involved in an accident. As a driver for over 15 yrs and a million+ accident ticket free miles under my belt it is NOT that I had close calls with these stuid 4-wheelers cutting me off speed up slow down swerving not looking riding in blind spots etc. EVERY driver should be made to spend 1 week in a truck BEFORE he/she is allowed to possess a drivers licence in EVERY STATE. Maybe then you would see that the stupidity you have when it comes to controlling a motor vehicle is not a good thing.
