LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two inmates broke out of the Searcy County Detention Center Wednesday night and injured two jailers in the process.

The breakout happened at 7pm when the jail was going into lockdown. The two inmates overpower the two jailers and escaped. The jailers were taken to a hospital where they were treated and released.

Dusty Rhodes, 22 of Searcy County, was captured almost immediately. Buford Allan Clark, of Lufkin, TX, was apprehended by Sheriff Kenny Cassel. Cassel was out looking for the escapees when he spotted Clark on an ATV on Harry Brown Road.

After a short chase Clark wrecked the ATV and was taken into custody.

Rhodes was originally in for failure to appear. Clark was in on a warrant out of Jasper, TX for second degree robbery. Now both face the additional charge of first degree escape.

A pair of fine, upstanding young men. They are so intelligent. In for some lame ass misdemeanors, that probably would have ended up being placed on probation for, to now facing escape charges. Inbreeding at its finest.
