LITTLE ROCK, AT-The jury in the Josh Hastings manslaughter trial will return to resume deliberations Sunday at 11:30 a.m. in Judge Wendell Griffen's courtroom. It's a rare Sunday session for court in Pulaski County.

Hastings is a former Little Rock Police Officer who was responding to a call of car break-ins last August at a apartment complex. Once at the scene he found 15-year-old Bobby Moore, with other suspects, leaving the complex. Hastings said that the car Moore was driving sped towards him and he fired shots. Moore was stuck by a bullet and died at the scene

The state has argued that the car was moving away from Hastings and not towards him. Expert testimony has backed this up. The car later turned out to be stolen. Jocelyn Tovar will be back in the courtroom and will have the latest on this story today on FOX16 News at 9p.m.
