LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- There could be a new plan for the old Job Corps building in Little Rock.

City Director Erma Hendricks says a meeting will be held Saturday to discuss the possibility of making the building a home for pregnant girls.

The Pettaway Neighborhood Association says they have also heard about the possibility, but wants to know more details because they say the old building is a problem.

"It's an eyesore in the front. If you look at in the back, it's even more of an eyesore because we have missing panes," says Pettaway Neighborhood Association's Carol Tabron.

The forum will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at Rockefeller Elementary School.

If you follow the links and read their proposal - yes, they intend to do all the cleaning and bring it all up to code. The bigger question is - are there so many teens pregnant that have no place to go that necessitates the housing of them in a huge dorm? It almost seems like 'send the shunned ones there.' Seems they would be better off with family... theirs or the 'father's'

Are they going to have the asbestos in the ceilings through out the building removed? I don't think this is a good environment for expecting mothers and their newborns
