LITTLE ROCK, AR – Voters in Little Rock approved the issuance of bonds to improve street and drainage projects in a special election Tuesday.

Both questions were approved 76% to 24%. The approval means the property tax will be reduced from 3.3 mills to 3.0 mills.

The proposal is expected to generate $105 million over the next 15 years.

Voter turnout was sparse, slightly more than 5% of registered voters weighed in on the millage extension.

I don't think the people at the capitol had anything to do with the local-issue special election. You'd have to ask the city council.

Why doesn't the news report on how much it's costing us for this special election? Why can't they have this election in November with the rest of the elections? Do your job news people and ask that question to the dummies at the capital.
