A mother came home this Thanksgiving to find her son shot to death.  Little Rock police are investigating who targeted the man at his own house.  There are a lot of unanswered questions for police at this point.  There have been no arrests, and no sign of why the victim was found in his own backyard Thursday morning.

"Very shocking, woke up and come outdoors and saw officers all around the house," Said neighbor James Wiggins.

It's the last way James Wiggins expects to start any day, much less Thanksgiving.  Little Rock homicide detectives surrounding 2100 Dorchester on the city's Southside.

Police say a mother came home from work this morning, and found her son shot to death in the backyard.  Detectives identified the victim as 29-year-old Brandon Davis.

Neighbors say the neighborhood is quite. Someone came in and shattered that silence, likely several hours before Davis was found.  Wiggins says his wife heard something around ten Wednesday night.  "She didn't know if they were in the woods or the back or where about but she said she did hear some shots," Wiggins said.

"Apparently he was shot sometime during the night so that could be consistent with what we're seeing at the scene," Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police tell us.

"It's just sad they're killing one another for no reason.  If it's a little money or drugs or whatever it may be it's just a bad situation for all of us," Wiggins said.

Detectives are still working on a motive and do not have any description of a suspect or suspects.
