Whether or not the officer was wrong or right in his actions; he still did society a favor!

This all goes back to some police officers are protected within the departments - just like PCSO. I you are protected you can lie and get away with it.

He did not commit murder, he took a career criminal out of action.

Not the whole LRPD. Just this Hastings guy,he is the one who commited murder. The next in command should be held responsible for not firing his a$$ a long time ago. So if that's daddy he needs to go to.

Man, tough time to be a Little Rock cop. Getting prosecuted for stopping a car thief who was out on bail(for stealing cars) stealing cars. This world really is dysfunctional. The crooks and deadbeats have more protections than the ones they are stealing and living off of.

I sure do hope he takes it to trial.no plea deal on this one please!! He should be judged by a jury of his peers.and I'm crossing my fingers to be one of those jurors! The city of LR should pay for this thug cop, murderous act.

DragonLady: Being that they are related, I can't help but wonder how the multiple write-ups and suspensions will play in this and other cases. Not to mention appeals based off the fact that he falsified the reports in this case.

thaone, you say this officer killed an "unarmed person." This idiot was trying to run the cops down, and he was shot in the process. Oh well, so sad, but see ya. The thug got what he had coming. If you cant pay the price, dont play the game. Let this be a lesson to the rest of the trash and thugs, the cops will shoot your dumbasses.
