LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Little Rock home was declared a total loss after a late night fire burned it down to the foundation Wednesday.
According to reports, officials from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to a glass break burglary alarm at a location located at 6915 West Ridge Road around 10:44 pm on July 4.
When they arrived, police found the entire house engulfed in flames with neighbors in the yard attempting to put the fire out. Fire and Rescue units from the West Pulaski Fire, Lake Maumelle Fire and Little Rock Fire Departments arrived on the scene to extinguish the blaze.
The flames were extinguished within several hours, and no surrounding properties were damaged but the house was declared a total loss as it had burned down to its foundation.
Neighbors told police that the homeowners were out of town on vacation. Police were able to contact them owners who confirmed that no one was inside the residence at the time and that all pets were outside.
The investigation is ongoing.
