LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Sunday evening.

Just before 5 o'clock Sunday evening, police got a call to respond to the intersection of Springer and Baltimore.

Police say it's still very early on in the investigation and don't have a lot of information to go on. Investigators are hoping someone saw the shooting and can lead them to the suspects.

Police say the man was shot and taken to the hospital with potentially life threatening injuries. Crime Scene Investigators are processing the scene for evidence that could explain what happened.

Witnesses tell police they saw two vehicles leaving the area that may be involved, but police aren't sure about the vehicle descriptions or if the vehicles are actually involved with the shooting.

Investigators hope to gather more information by speaking to the victim to find out who the shooter could be.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Little Rock Police Department.

Police have not yet released the name of the victim or his condition.
