Tony: it took me about 10 seconds to find it. Nov. 26, KATV. Lewis was the reporter. Main St. isn't any better. Remember the group of men going around in a van and kidnapping and raping women a few years ago? Daylight and downtown. Nuff said.

tonythom- get your head out of your gas pipe like butch said, I am here in Grayton Beach most of the time, but when I am in LR the decision to go eat somewhere nice for the evening does not include the Rivermarket or downtown due to the element and frequency of crime. Butch is correct by the way, do not know the exact numbers but the crime report for the Rivermarket that was just disclosed was staggering. I hate it when you are wrong, but the crack pipe is skewing your thoughts

why do people keep bringing up the RiverMarket? This story is about Main Street. Look at a map. again, i ask to all those commenting, what town or city do you live in? If you live in Little Rock or near the downtown area I'd love to know that. But I have a sense you don't and you just like to regurgitate third hand information you heard somewhere. AY - "on the news a week or two ago". not real strong sourcing there. I did a search on all Arkansas media from RiverMarket crime stories over the last month and see no reference to the stat you quoted. Butch 54 - "don't confuse LR with a city" - what does that even mean? Don't confuse it with a large city? Not doing that, no one is. There's trouble in that part of town? Uh, oh, better run away to the 'burbs. I get it. Those posting negative comments here don't like Little Rock. Certainly not downtown. But your repetitive and whiny.

Well said Butch and guzzler. spray; you're talking about the thugs, right? Tony; on the news a week or two ago, they had over 600 police reports in the River Market in a 6 month period. I'd say guzzler knows what he's talking about.

I've lived in lots of large cities. Don't confuse Little rock with a city. It's not. Go to Dallas, FT. worth, Huston, LA., San Fran, And many others. The way I see it guzzler called it pretty close. If you can't see the trouble in that part of town you may have a tight feeling around your neck. If you will stand and remove those heads from your gas factory it will relive that tight feeling and improve your sight too.

guzzler - based on your comment on this story and many others, it's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about.

The River Market is so crime infested now that most people I know stay away unless to go the the farmer's market in the summer. People are scared to death of this area, and rightfully so, Main St. will be the same way, so as much as it might be aesthetic, it is not practical in this ghetto thug ridden environment.
