Look! Up in the sky! It's NOT a bird, plane or Superman, it's a new comet streaking past Earth.

Comet Pan-STARRS, as it's been named, can first be spotted today or tomorrow, depending on where you are on the planet.

It will reach its peak of visibility on March 12th.

Comets were once considered omens of misfortune, but now scientists know they're just balls of ice flying through space.

Darrell Heath with the Central Arkansas Astronomical Society (CAAS) joins Good Day's Greg Dee to talk about comet Pan-STARRS.
