The return of warmer weather means more people will be going to the Little Rock Zoo.

The zoo celebrates the opening of its spring season today, right before many schools take their spring break next week. The zoo is a popular attraction for spring breakers looking for an affordable family friendly attraction.

Also announced today, a major donation from Hiland Dairy that will help the zoo reduce the price of admission on "Dollar Day," coming up in the summer.

For the fourth year in a row, Hiland Dairy, formerly Coleman Dairy, will serve as an annual zoo sponsor by providing a cash and in-kind sponsorship totaling more than $50,000.

The dairy's donation supports "Dollar Day," where admission to the zoo is only a dollar for the general public and also provides in-kind product for zoo special events and other activities.
