Police arrested Daniel Kellebrew for stealing from other people and after getting out of jail on bond he went back to the Malvern Police Department to recover some of the items he claims belongs to him.

In front of police Daniel Kellebrew didn't shy away from admitting his involvement in a string of car break-ins. GPS systems, cell phones, ID cards, purses and marijuana are all among the items Malvern Police say Kellebrew, Colby Alston and Dylan Williams took from cars between midnight and 6:00 a.m. Friday morning.

Out on bond Kellebrew came back to the police department to get some things he claims belong to him.

LaTresha asks, "You stole from other people but you want your property back?" Kellebrew replies, “Yeah." He went on to say it belonged to him and he wanted it back and he doesn't know why he took other people's property.

There are 24 cases of breaking and entering of vehicles. "That's hard to believe you don't think it goes on but that shows it does and people need to look out for it," says Spencer Duncan who lives in the area of the car break-ins.

The break-ins all happened in one area of town from Harper to Glover to Wilson Street and Pleasant Street but that's where it all ended.  A neighbor saw a man under a carport peering into car windows and called police.

"I'm glad the officers took a proactive approach to finding the first suspect without that we wouldn't have been able to do as much as we did in such a short time," says Detective Randy Neal with Malvern Police.

People in this area are thanking police and their observant neighbors. They also have a message for the suspects.

"We work hard for what we got, sometimes it ain't much but at least we're trying. They need to do the same thing," says Duncan.

That's a message at least one of the suspects may be willing to listen to now.  Malvern Police got one of the suspects near the scene of one the break-ins; he gave up the names of the other two.  Police arrested them about two hours later.
