Man Arrested for Allegedly Stealing Copper from New Homes in Lonoke County

32-year-old Nicholas Jackson faces Breaking or Entering, Theft of Property, Criminal Mischief, and Drug Possession Charges.

LONOKE COUNTY, AR- Two newly constructed homes have been raided for their copper, the person responsible left behind thousands of dollars in damages.

Lonoke County authorities have charged 32-year-old Nicholas Jackson of Austin with the crimes.

Jackson is suspected to have entered the new homes and removed approximately $6,400 worth of copper wire causing approximately $15,000 in total damage. 

Jackson is a parolee on active supervision. 

Jackson was arrested for two felony counts of Breaking or Entering, two felony counts of Theft of Property, two felony counts of Criminal Mischief, and one misdemeanor count of Possession of Marijuana.

Jackson is being held at the Lonoke County Detention on a parole hold as well as the current charges.
