Update: Arrest in June Shooting at Cabot

The incident on West Myrtle Street left a man critically injured.
Update (September 12):
CABOT, AR - An arrest has been made in a shooting at a local apartment building back in June.

The Cabot Police Department says Halelle Hooten, 32, is charged with domestic battery in the incident.

The shooting happened at 898 West Myrtle Street, Apt. D-1.

Hooten is being held without bond until her first appearance in Lonoke County Circuit Court on Friday.

Original story (June 3):CABOT, AR - A man is hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting in Cabot.

Cabot Police say officers were called to the scene just before 11 p.m. Sunday at an apartment complex at 898 West Myrtle Street.

The victim was found lying on the floor, suffering from several gunshot wounds, but was conscious and talking to officers, according to police.

He was flown by helicopter to the hospital.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine what led to the shooting and to develop a suspect.
