LITTLE ROCK, AR -- An Austin, Arkansas man wants to help disabled veterans enjoy hunting. So he is building a wheelchair accessible duck blind.
Aaron Wells says his efforts are genuine.
"It's a way I can give back and help out veterans who go out and sacrifice their lives so I can work and provide for my family," said Wells.
He's planning to send the duck blind to a Virginia Beach, Virginia organization called "Hunting with Heroes, which is a new organization hoping to help America's heroes go hunting.
Wells says the project is pretty much done. but getting it from Arkansas to Virginia is a different issue.
"We are trying to work that out right now. Either we will have to have someone come down and get it or if we can send it on a truck, we haven't quite figured that out yet," said Wells.
But hes says the most important part of the project is done.
"It was pretty easy. It didn't take a whole lot of effort., just a little bit of time," said Wells.
