GOULD, AR – The mayor says he and his family lost everything in an early morning fire that destroyed his family’s home. Mayor Ernest Nash, of Gould, says his eleven year old son, Jeremiah, is a hero who saved the entire family.

Mayor Nash says his son, Jeremiah, woke everyone in the home around 1:00am, Saturday, alerting them to the blaze. The mayor says he has no idea what caused the fire but is thankful the entire family including four children escaped unharmed.

Mayor says says he intends to ask the State Fire Marshal to investigate to determine a cause of the blaze, at 305 Jefferson Street, in Gould.

could it be possible, that the 11 yr. old started the fire? considering he was the only one awake,to get everyone up and,out of the house. just a thought.because kids do play with fire sometimes.either way,its a terrible tragedy.prayers go out,to the family.
