LITTLE ROCK, AR - Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel says there will be "no other shoe to drop" related to his extramarital affair and will stay in the race for governor in 2014.

McDaniel began his remarks to reporters by apologizing to his wife Bobbi who attended the press conference Tuesday morning in North Little Rock.

"This situation is entirely my fault," McDaniel said reading from a prepared statement. "I also renew today my apology to the people of Arkansas who have issues that demand their attention rather than distractions of my creation."

McDaniel admitted an "inappropriate relationship" on December 18th after his name surfaced in a court filing involving Hot Springs attorney Andi Davis.

McDaniel did not elaborate on the nature of the relationship on Tuesday, other than to reiterate it took place for an unspecified period of time during 2011 and did not involve the use of state any state dollars.

"There is no other shoe to drop. There are no other women. No litigation was ever compromised. No rules of professional conduct were ever violated," McDaniel said in a prepared statement.

Davis issued the following statement to FOX16 News on Tuesday afternoon:

"I'm disappointed.  I'm frustrated with the form, manner and content presented by Dustin."

Wouldn't make much of a Governor if he's not sure which head to think with. ALthough Beebe ca't figure out how to save money for medicare and mediciad yet coaches get paid millions. Yeah Yeah I know REVENUE. I guess to some REVENUE is more important than the ones that built the State and are getting old and dying. Sort of like not taking care of maintenance on the Veterans home and then making them move to different locations seperating them from probably the only friends they have and the only ones they consider family. Back to the AG. STEP DOWN NOW AND SAVE US ALL THE DRAMA.

Cheating on your wife can make you susceptible to legal allegation from the other's spouse. This is not over.. He is talking now before the trial begin. Let wait and see how the trial end.. He could be charged for breaking up the marriage. I think Arkansas does allow damages from the injury party
