Meth lab in Austin, Ark shut down

On Tuesday, around 8:00pm, authorities searched a home on Oak Ridge Road in Austin, Arkansas.  The house was part of a narcotics investigation.

When they arrived, they found chemicals, glassware, components, and paraphernalia used in the manufacture of methamphetamine. They also arrested 24-year old, Phillip Harris.

Harris was arrested for Criminal intent to manufacture a controlled substance, Possession of paraphernalia to manufacture, and Possession of drug paraphernalia.

Chief Staley said, "I appreciate the Sheriff’s Office assistance. Drugs will not be tolerated in Austin."
