Missing Little Rock man found in hospital

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A Little Rock man who had been reported missing has been found safe in the psychiatric unit of a Little Rock hospital.

Police said Friday that 28-year-old Adam Beasley was found at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences where he was undergoing treatment.

Beasley was reported missing Thanksgiving Day after last been seen about 12:15 p.m. at a convenience store in west Little Rock. Police say Beasley's sister told officers that Beasley was sitting in her car when a police car drove onto the parking lot and he got out of the car and ran away.

How Beasley wound up at UAMS was not released.

It sounds like maybe he has a psychological problem, and maybe police trigger that problem? I don't think he ran to get away from the police because he was going to be arrested, I think he ran due to a psychological problem that is uncontrolled. I am glad that he is in a hospital that can evaluate him and hopefully give him the help that he needs. Glad he is safe.

I guess that is one way to dodge an arrest, go to the psych ward
