LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Additional work on the Interstate 430-I-630 interchange in Little Rock will require adjustments for motorists.

The Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Commission says crews will shift the I-430 northbound lanes and install a new westbound exit from the interchange. Crews will perform the work from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Department director Scott Bennett praised motorists for heeding the agency's warnings to stay away from the area last week, which allowed workers to shift the southbound lanes of the interchange. Bennett says drivers need to the same late Tuesday and on Wednesday.

Beginning Wednesday morning, there will be two exits — one for I-630 east and the second for westbound travel. Officials say the shift will accommodate another stage of construction in the $124 million project.
