There is more trouble for the Conway County woman charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the deaths of her sons.  Police arrested Amber Turley August 7th. Investigators say Turley had been drinking and smoking marijuana the day she drove into Brewer Lake and her three sons drowned. Now the Department of Human Services, DHS, is investigating Turley for neglect.

"She was a mother that took three little boys in a vehicle and drove in the state of mind she was in with the alcohol and the drugs in her system," says Vurlon Egger.

Egger also says Turley should have to pay for her actions. Turley's three little boys drowned when she drove into Brewer Lake. Police say Turley admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana earlier that day. Egger, the boys' great aunt, felt relieved when police arrested Turley and now she's looking forward to the outcome of a DHS investigation of neglect against her.

"When autopsies come back and screens come back and more information comes to light as part of the criminal case at that point they're compelled to call it into the child abuse hot line," says Julie Munsell with the Department of Human Services.

Munsell says they are just a couple of days into a 30 day investigation, if the results in a finding are true on the neglect allegation, Turley's name will be placed on a child abuse registry. "If they want to work in childcare or around children and that organization checks the registry it could prohibit them from getting that job."

Egger says, "I don't think she needs to be working around children with the choice she made with her own."

Egger adds nothing can bring Alex, Aaron and Anthony back but she wants to see justice done for them so no other child gets hurt.

I'm a strong supporter of the death penalty, but I think in this case I might change my mind. She should be left to rot in a cell with big screen tv's on every side playing home movies of these 3 babies. Let her spend the rest of her life listening to their voices and knowing that she's the reason they'll never grow up.

When you have children, you have to put their lives and safely before your own. She didn't have any business being out like that with her children that late in the condition she was in. She should be charged with manslaughter.

she should left that sorry life she were living to herself. those babies didn't have to loose their lives. and what a friend let that no minded person leave in the condition she were in . i would not drive myself drunk let lone kids. people need to stop taking life for granted.she will have to live with this the rest of her life and her so call friend.the kids could have slept over and her to . honey i would been tearing that car up getting my babies out but me being a wise and loving mother that would never happen. what her friend say i should have kept the boys. i would made them stay anyway if she didn't like it i would had the police to explain to her why .sweet babies in haven.

If she was convicted of the 3 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, wouldn't that put her on the registry too? Isn't this a case of locking the barn door after the horse has escaped?
