Nothing will bring back their daughter, but if they know the regulations of the hospital policy, and they break those rules, they need to suffer the consequences. ESPECIAlly A DOCTOR ! It is also my opinion that the suit is not about money. It is about principle. They violated her rights ! And you think they should get away with that ? Put yourself in their shoes. What if it happened to your child ? It is not greed. It is justice !

If you start to allow a little, then the next time you allow a little more. If you allow a little more, then you start to allow a lot. If we start to tolerate a little, then they want us to tolerate a lot. My hope is that no matter what it is we stop and not allow just a little, stop and not tolerate a lot. People want us to accept and tolerate and WE SHOULD NOT.

I am very sorry for Miss Pressly's untimely death, and my heart goes out to her family. I can not help but wonder what is the real reason for her suit against St. Vincent's hospital. I am sure they have handled the problem in a timely frame, and the ones that was so "curious" have been dismissed. St. Vincent is a very fine hospital, and should not have to go thru such turmoil as a law suit. No one should have their privacy invaded, and hospitals will always have some "curious" employees, and they too will be dealt with. I think the doctor should never be allowed to practice again in the USA, nor the nurses allowed to be employed in any hospital.

oh, and money will ease the pain right? God will judge you. The hospital had nothing to do with her death yet you desire money. You will burn in Hell for your sin. So sad, but your flesh will burn for your greed and wickedness.

I agree with you sjsmith. I went through the same thing 4 yrs ago when my husband was shot. One of the hospital nurses actually spoke to a news reporter about his injuries. I had to hear to from his sister. I was shocked !! And furious. That hospital saved my husband's life but their staff need to be retrained on the privacy policy frequently. I hope she wins and has their jobs on a silver platter.

I recently had a parent at St Vincent's and found that while some areas adhere to the privacy policy some do not. At one point I stood at the nursing station and read the vitals of every patient on the floor, written on clip broard log left on the counter by someone!!!! Careless mistake by a floor person. Mind you I couldn't tell you who they were nor do I really care who they were, I was interested in how my parent was doing and actually reading their vitals gave me a better idea than them telling me "Oh their doing fine/getting better" Yet on the other hand, the ICU staff issued me a PRIVACY CODE, and without it, out of state family couldn't get anything out of them.......... Proper training needs to be under taken by everyone, not just a few of them.
