HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) — A 28-year-old man accused of killing two people who were found dead in a mobile home in northeast Arkansas is due in court for a pre-trial hearing.

John Anthony Arnoult is slated to go before a judge in Harrisburg on Friday.

Arnoult, of Jonesboro, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of capital murder in the September deaths of 56-year-old Constance Cole and 57-year-old John Poff. He has also pleaded not guilty to a burglary charge.

Authorities arrested Arnoult after a maintenance worker found Cole and Poff dead in Poff's mobile home in Trumann.

Police said neighbors reported hearing gunshots the morning their bodies were found, but dismissed it as noise from dove hunters.

Arnoult is slated to go on trial later this month.
