FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Bret Bielema will earn $3.2 million annually for six years in his new job at Arkansas, which will also pay its new coach's $1 million buyout to Wisconsin.

Arkansas on Wednesday released its signed letter of agreement with Bielema, which includes another $700,000 in annual incentives.

The Razorbacks hired Bielema on Tuesday, tabbing the former Badgers coach to take over a program that went into a tailspin after former coach Bobby Petrino was fired for hiring his mistress to work in the athletic department.

It was not immediately known whether Bielema would coach in the Rose Bowl for the Badgers.

Pay Jesus Christ a trillion dollars to coach and Arkansas will still be a laughable football program. Always have been, always will be.

Good point itsjustme, very little of the salary comes from the state, majority is from the Razorback Foundation which is the deep pockets of Tyson, Lindsey, Stephens, and the Walmart boys. If you want to complain about overpaid State employees, complain about the astronomical $750K per year paid to a UAMS chancellor to waste over 8 million of the state's money on a consulting firm that did nothing and the place still continues to loose millions every month - ALL STATE MONEY!!

The state (as in our tax dollars) does not pay his entire salary. If you had read the entire offer letter and other info that is public information, you'll see that the part the state pays is very small.

The state pays his salary. Complain to the Governor that makes less than most other state employees. Gus gets 11.1 million over 5 years WAR EAGLE. I'm with pat72209. How many articles and why do they have to contain ll of the unnecessary information. I guess he will be o the 5, 6, 9, 10 and 11 news for th next year. When they still can't win because they are undiscipline he will be talked about more and more. I know Auburn didn't do well but they do have a few recnt championship titles and well we all know about Alabama. NUF SAID

THAT SALARY IS OBSCENE FOR A COACH...TRY $185000...ATHLETES ALSO ARE PAID OBSCENE SALARIES. WE TURN THE LIVES OF OUR CHILDREN OVER TO PEOPLE FOR 12-16+ YEARS FOR $35000 TO $65000 YEAR....DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?
