Tuesday SWAT officers were serving a search warrant at 9001 Tanya Drive #B. While officers were searching the home, they found Shawn Burton in a bedroom hiding in the closet.
Officers ordered Burton out of the closet. When Burton came out, he had a pistol pointed at the officers. One officer fired several shots hitting Burton in the chest and arm.
Burton was taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. The officer who fired the shots is on administrative leave, which is standard procedure.
While detectives were processing the scene, they found half a pound of marijuana along with scales.
