Operation Mother's Day Goes After Delinquent Dads in Jefferson County

The two-day operation results in dozens of arrests totaling $339,460.49 in late child support payments.

PINE BLUFF, AR- (Press Release) Over the last 2-days, more than 48 Deputies converged upon areas of Jefferson County in six four-person teams as part of “Operation Mother’s Day”.

This is the seventh year for the operation.

 Deputies began at 5:30 a.m. with an operational briefing where they received outstanding warrants of arrest for individuals delinquent in payments for court ordered child support. 

The operation netted the arrest of over 38 individuals. 

Among those arrested for delinquent child support payments, several others were arrested for misdemeanor offences ranging from Hot Check violations to Failure to Appear.

The mission of this operation is and always will be to “ensure children and families receive court-ordered financial and medical support” from deadbeat dads, according to Operations Commander, Major Lafayette Woods, Jr.
