LITTLE ROCK, AR - On June 23, 2011, at approximately 10:41 p.m., officers from the Little Rock Police Department responded to the Pizza Hut located at 301 North SHACKLEFORD and made contact with an employee, 34-year-old Antonio Mitchell. Mitchell stated that he had been shot by an unknown suspect who had also robbed the business.
The suspect reportedly forced an employee, 32-year-old Mike Bolzenius, to stay in the back of the business while taking Mitchell to the front and removing the money from the register. The suspect then fled northbound toward Kroger in a four door “tea” colored car.
Mitchell was transported to Baptist Hospital for a gunshot wound to his lower back. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Police now have reason to believe this shooting may be related to the
robbery at Exxon the same night.
