The 2nd Ammendment was Not created for hunting purposes. Does anyone care to know why ?????? By taking away our guns, not only are we more vunerable to the criminals, we are, or will be, MORE vunerable - get it? History, people, history . . . . .

Automobiles don't cause people to kill people. Alcohol kills people. Alcohol causes people to kill people. Drugs kill people. Drugs causes people to kill people. Stupidity kills people. Stupidity causes people to kill people.

I agree Yankee. And I have a lot of guns, guns for hunting, guns I collect and guns for protection. Do I use/carry them "to be all I can be"? Hell no. I carry one for not only my protection but the protection of others. It isnt the "gun owners" that are killing people, it is the "gun possessing ones" that are killing people. Big difference is just what Yankee said, "owners" are legitimate, registered owners. Anyone can "possess" one.

i think butch is on to something......the cops think it was the alcohol.....makes more sense that it was the person in control of the gun at the time.. hence:gunowner.....maybe they will charge the alcohol with something.....

I don't have facts or figures to back this up; it's just a theory more or less - but many of the criminals that kill people with a gun - the gun is usually a stolen one; hence, the killer is not the "owner", at least not the rightful owner. And the nutcase in Newtown; his momma owned the guns he used; he was not the "owner" either. Have to disagree with "Gun owners are the number one cause in shooting deaths". If you'll notice the killings in LR and PB; most of the killers have a record, and aren't allowed to "own" a gun.

Butch, there you go again. Do you even realize there is a difference between a gun owner and a criminal with a gun? I doubt it. You use to make sense in your comments, but lately you have gone way out if left field. I will be damned if I allow the government to rip me of my f'ing right to bear arms. And I'll be damned if I unarm myself just to give these punk ass thugs yet another upper hand. Take the guns away from innocent people and you make crimes easier to commit. Gun control and those that are for it are nothing more than a bunch of single thought having morons that cant see the bigger picture.
