LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police say a man fleeing the scene of a convenience store robbery hit a police officer, sending her to the hospital. Police say they arrested the suspect at a second convenience story while he was attempting steal beer and cigarettes.

Linda Allen, a 21-year veteran of LRPD, was taken to the hospital with a concussion. Police say Allen was responding to a robbery of a Valero at Baseline and Stagecoach. The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Donovan Fulton, was trying to steal a bottle of wine. As Fulton was fleeing the scene, according to police, he hit Allen.

As officers were looking for the suspect, they found his unoccupied car in the parking lot of the Exxon at I-30 and Scott Hamilton. When they went inside, police say they found Allen trying to rob the gas station at knifepoint, demanding beer and cigarettes.

Allen is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery and one count of first degree battery, all felonies. Additionally, Fulton is charged with misdemeanor counts of driving while intoxicated and driving on a suspended license.

He pleaded not guilty in Little Rock District Court. His bail was set at $200,000.

They should have shot that one also. Now we'll have to feed him and support him watching cable TV and working out in prison. Our tax dollars at work.

Story yesterday said he came out and got in the car while she was approaching, backed up and hit her with the door, then fled. She stopped the first robbery when she arrived, so he just went on to the second. He must have really wanted to keep his drunk going.

That last officer that was turned over by the prosecutor is still getting special treatment. He is a murderer who needs to be in tucker max with the other murderers.

She probably was afraid of pulling her gun seeing that the last officer to shoot at a thief in a car was turned over to prosecutor by Chief Thomas.

I hope and expect that nutcase to go in for a looong time. God Bless Officer Allen and give her a speedy recovery. IF THEY DON'T PUT HIM IN JAIL FOR A LONG TIME, IT WILL BE A CRIME.
