LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police say the owner of Nick's Superstop on Chenal Parkway was able to get the gun away from a robber outside the gas station Monday morning.

According to police, Nadeem Siddique was getting in his vehicle when a man wearing a ski mask pulled the door open, pointed a semiautomatic pistol at him and said, "I'll kill you."

Siddique grabbed the gun and twisted it from the suspect's hand then fought with the suspect, according to the incident report, but the suspect was able to grab a deposit bag from Siddique's vehicle and fled in a white, four-door compact car.

Siddique was reportedly dragged by the suspect's vehicle in the parking lot as he tried to recover the money but was not seriously injured.

Police say the suspect's gun was not loaded.

The suspect is described as being 5'6" and weighing approximately 135 pounds.

Police are still investigating the incident.

you have to consider all guns are loaded even if it isn't because the next time it could be loaded you never know

Just glad the owner didn't get killed...wish the thug had been. This man needs to get a cc permit now and use a holster..all people in stations and in and out stores should do this !!! You decent people get these CC permits and WEAR YOUR WEAPONS VISIBLY. It certainly would make me feel better...I am an old woman and that would be the same to me as having a police officer close. I love the LRPD...God Bless 'em

Thank goodness the gun was not loaded, because this could have been another fatality to a working citzen. How will anyone know if a gun is loaded or not, we don't. Obviously, this dumb criminal could not afford to buy bullets. I guess this criminal was going to buy bullets after the money was stolen. Hoping that he was not wearing gloves and finger prints are on the weapon...

What a dumbass. Trying to rob someone with an empty gun. I wish the owner of the store would have had a gun with bullets in it and took this POS off of the streets for good.
