Police investigate Little Rock shooting

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Little Rock Police are investigating an early morning shooting.

According to Sgt. Cassandra Davis, of the Little Rock Police Department, the shooting took place around 6:00 am Monday at the Stone Crest Apartments located at 9709 West Baseline Road.

Davis tells FOX16 that the victim, 53-year-old Luis Morales was leaving his apartment when he was approached by an unknown suspect, wearing dark pants and a dark sweater with a mask over the lower portion of his face. The suspect reportedly pulled out a weapon and demanded money from Morales. After Morales gave the suspect his wallet, the suspect fired several rounds, hitting him once in his right arm.

Morales was transported to an area hospital to be treated for non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as about 6’0 tall, and weighed about 160 pounds.
