Police: mom instructed children to attack another child on bus

A few less students got off one Conway school bus Thursday. It's because of an incident that started with five-year-old kindergartner Agiauna Watkins allegedly being bullied on the bus last week.

"Some boy came over there messing with me," she explained, "and then my brothers came over there and said don't mess with my sister little boy."

Agiauna says the boy stabbed her stomach with a pencil. From there though, accounts differ.

According to police, when the bus stopped, Temika McClure - Agiauana's mom - told two of her other children to get back on the bus and "handle this." Police say the two kids did just that, attacking the boy who had a problem with their sister.

"Although they committed the act, she as their mother, an authority figure over them, told them to go back and do this," said Conway Police Department Spokesperson Latresha Woodruff.

McClure disagrees with police. She doesn't deny that her kids got in a physical altercation, but she does deny telling them to do so.

"I'm really really frustrated," she said, "and any parent would be if there child, which is a little girl, is getting bullied and she's scared to ride the bus."

Now McClure is charged with numerous crimes including second degree battery, which is a felony.

"I'm not worried about it," McClure said, "because I know we were not in the wrong because when it's all said and done, why am I being charged for a kid fight?"

Never had a sister. Sister-in-laws, and a step sister when I got out of the Army. But if I had a little sister growing up, I wouldn't have needed Mom or Dad telling me to protect her! Sounds like Mommy is raising, and teaching future ghetto thugs. Praise God I didn't have to ride a bus! Once upon a time, they were for school children that lived a certain distance from school; now they are used for "desegregation", which I thought had already been taken care of. Guess it depends on the judge's and lawyers's making the dough of off us taxpayers.

What's the matter with you people....it is the mother's fault! Teaching her kid to be "tough"...she should have taken it up with the driver,...then if necessary the school district. Evidently you haven't had much experience seeing this kind of behavior..

I see. Her little girl was being bullied, and scared, but mom told them to get on the bus and "handle it"....I can tell you that's a "SNAFU"...Those of you who are old enough to remember "Do unto others being heard constantly, will know what THAT means."

I drove a school bus for 7 years...no problems. If I needed to I pulled over and told them we weren't going anywhere until they were quiet. BUT I DIDN'T HAVE ANYONE ON MY BUS THAT DID NOT RESPECT ME. I was lucky. HOWEVER, YOU ARE RIGHT about being expected to control the kids while safely driving the bus. You just have to ignore it or pull over. Thankfully none of my students was a bully or otherwise mean. You can write them up, you know. If they get kicked off bus, parent will really be sorry. LOL

And you wonder why a 15 year old with a criminal record got KILLED the other morning. HE WAS ONLY BREAKING INTO CARS (says family),,,.COMEON CONWAY. Little Rock is a cesspool of crime with every thug and wannabe carrying a gun. GET IT UNDER CONTROL...don't let Conway become Little Rock. Little Rock police respond to at least 30 gun related incidents per shift (I listen to police dispatch) RISKING THEIR LIVES,...criminals should know THEY ARE TAKING THE SAME RISK.

I wonder how much supervision on the bus it would take to fix the anger and bad judgement in this mothers head.
