LITTLE ROCK, AR – Officials from the Little Rock Police Department responded to a shooting at an apartment on Geyer Springs that left two people injured.

According to reports, around 11:00 pm on August 6, police responded to a call about shots fired at 1225 Geyer Street. When they arrived, one of the victims, 31-year-old Billy McKinney, was found laying on the ground in the middle of the parking lot. McKinney, along with a second victim, 25-year-old Desiree Rice, was transported to UAMS for treatment.

Police attempted to speak with people inside the apartment, but the occupants reportedly refused to open the door. Eventually the occupants, Covonda Brown, Markee Goods and Sherard Hairott were removed from the apartment.

During the investigation, Cameron Peterson was named as a suspect. Peterson has two felony first degree battery warrants out for his arrest in connection to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.

He's not a Southwest thug, he is a POS. what the news is not recording is that he is due in court August 14 on two counts of attempted capital murder of two Little Rock police officers back in the fall of 2011. This was that ambush that happened very same apartment complex.
