LITTLE ROCK, AR – Many Arkansas residents woke up this morning without power. Electrical service is essential for many just to stay warm.
According to reports from Entergy and First Electric Cooperative, just two of the power companies serving Arkansas, there are approximately 200,000 customers without service. Heavy snow and ice weighed down tree limbs, even uprooting some trees, and downing power lines.
It will likely be days before electrical service is restored to everyone. Power companies are calling in extra help to assist with restoring service as quickly as possible.
