Pulaski Co deputy faces felony charges

A Pulaski County deputy faces felony charges in incident that took place in July in Garland County.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A Pulaski County deputy faces felony charges in incident that took place in July in Garland County.

Garland County Prosecutor Steve Oliver says Lt. Corey Lawson is charged with first-degree criminal mischief, a class D felony. The charge stems from a July incident in which, according to Garland County investigators, Lawson became upset with his girlfriend at the Brady Mountain Resort, pushed her, and then rammed his truck into a gate twice, tearing it down.

After the incident, Pulaski County Sheriff Doc Holladay suspended Lawson for four weeks without pay. At the time, Holladay said that potential criminal charges against Lawson could change his status within the agency.
