LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Ropes, saws, hardhats, and suits.

Those are just a few of the items you'll find in these bags, now equipment for the Pulaski County Emergency Management Agency.

"You look at what would be the worst thing that could happen that we would have to respond to and you build a capability to deal with it," said J.T. Cantrell.

Cantrell said they used grant money and taxpayer dollars to buy these necessities that will help them make rescues during floods, tornadoes, and even building collapses.  It will be an ongoing process to get volunteers trained on how to use it all.

"You never want to be on the incident and have to read the instruction book. That's a cardinal sin," Cantrell said.

And while Cantrell hopes they won't have to use these tools, they're on standby just in case.

"The best run is the one you don't have to make.  It's like football:  You win some, you lose some, but you dress out for all of them," Cantrell said.
