The focus of Rants and Raves today, a cruise gone wrong.

Carnival Cruises is still getting raked over the coals after one of its ships came to a grinding halt a week ago about 150 miles off Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

The cause, and engine room fire that paralyzed the ship, resulting in five numbing days stuck at sea.

The 42-hundred passengers, which included some from Arkansas, had to deal with unsanitary conditions, food shortages, and camping out on deck.

But after four long days stuck at sea, the Triumph was finally towed into port in Mobile, Alabama.

So, I asked you, if this event has changed your mind about going on a cruise, and were those on board fairly compensated for what they went through?

Brenda: No cruises for us! Too many "ACCIDENTS" on board.

Christina: They're getting a refund, a free cruise and $500. No, it's not enough, but it is what it is.

Miz: I'd just as soon fly to where I wanna be and spend my vacation doing things on my own schedule rather than in a herd being processed like cattle.

Sandy: My biggest question is why didn't the cruise line take another ship out and transfer the passengers to it when this first happened and avoid all the suffering?

Paul: I don't understand why anyone in Arkansas would want to go on a cruise when they could ride the backroads here and see MUCH better scenery.

So, what are your thoughts about cruises? Do you think they're fun or a waste of money?
